DETAILS
Synopsis
Cristian Bianco has two things against
him-he's a police officer and he's a police officer in the 18th
District…meaning my dad is his boss. Growing up as the Commander's daughter
and having his magnifying glass focused on everything I did was more than I
could handle. Now, I'm out on my own, living by my
own rules. Well, mostly. The 'job' I created for myself has me in some hot
water and my exit strategy isn't exactly working out how I'd hoped. Which is why when my best friend bids
on Cristian for me at a charity bachelor auction, I'm not having it. A man in
blue is only going to be one thing for me-a problem. Except after his brother starts dating
my best friend he becomes harder to ignore. The eight-pack abs. The sense of
style only a girl like me can appreciate. The way he puts his family first.
It all adds up to make him one irresistible prospect and has me wondering if
he knows how to use those handcuffs the right way-by locking my wrists to his
headboard. * A sexy BOSS'S DAUGHTER romcom
standalone in the Blue Collar Brothers series. |

Quote(s)
1.
You’d think it would go Mauro takes
care of Cristian, Cristian takes care of Luca and Luca – well, let’s be
thankful he’s the youngest because he’d take care of no one but himself.
Somehow though, I ended up with all the responsibility genes. I’m the one who
checks on my parents, the one who makes sure Mauro and Luca remember birthdays
and anniversaries, the one who organizes the paperwork for our recreation
teams and makes sure everyone has paid. 2.
Luca doesn’t even notice I’m
distracted. Youngest child – everything’s about him. 3.
Damn, she is gorgeous though. Picturing
her long legs wrapped around my waist is my first thought when I look at her. 4.
“Stop living in the fucking right lane,
dickhead. Slide on over to the left and enjoy the ride until you have to go
all slow and shit for kids in the backseat. You’re like an eighty-year-old in
a twenty-eight-year-old body. It’s a shame you work out so much. A waste
really.” 5.
I get where she’s coming from. Watching
them so in love, it’s hard not to want the same for yourself. 6.
I’ve never really been a one and done
kind of guy and something tells me one time with Vanessa will not be enough. But
my dick is screaming at me to get on with this – we don’t need to romance
her, she’s not looking for Prince Charming, she’s looking for a dick that
will get her off and you have said dick. I need to get out of my own
fucking head. 7.
Hat to break it to you, but friends
ends with end and family ends with i.l.y. 8.
Maddie might be about hearts and
flowers – and M&Ms – but fighting for the other person, that’s romance to
me. 9.
I try not to sneer. Really, I do, but
if that was my boyfriend who just sprinted past someone who was injured
without even trying to help, I’d question what kind of person he was. 10.
He’d love it if I was involved with a
police officer, having never understood the downfall of the job himself. The late
hours, the danger, the overtime and the fact you barely see one another. I’ve
seen the strain it can put on a relationship and I don’t want that for myself. 11.
You can be whoever you want to
be. I get that you’ve had a rough past and I suspect a rough go after
college, but if you keep pushing people who want to help you away, sooner or
later they’ll stop offering. 12.
One day you’ll understand when you’re
older. Men and boys pretend to be tough, but many times it’s just an act. When
they fall in love that’s when you see the real man. That’s when you know whether
you really have a beauty or a beast on your hands. 13.
“You did your best.” 14.
I’m not sure I ever believed those four
words before today. I felt emotionally abandoned by my father the minute my
mom was buried. I didn’t lose one parent that day, but two. Or at least that’s
how I felt until this moment. 15.
“One and I’m done?” 16.
“Guess what, Ma? Your baby is getting
married!” |

Reading Experience
It was pretty okay. I love how Cristian’s
way of loving someone. I wished everyone would get a partner like him. |
