SYNOPSIS
He had held a secret that destroyed her world.
Everything she had known was no longer true.
Blaire couldn’t stop loving him but she knew she could never forgive him.
Now, she was back home and learning to live again. Moving on with life… until something happened to send her world spinning once again.
What do you do when the one person you can never trust again is the one that you need to trust so desperately?
You lie, hide, avoid, and pray that your sins never find you out.
READING EXPERIENCE
I absolutely love Blaire! Blaine is just adorable—so kind, caring, and considerate. You can really tell she was raised well.
As for Rush, sure, he may be sweet deep down, but let’s be honest—he blew her off two or three times. They never really addressed their issues properly, and they certainly didn’t talk things through before sleeping together. Yes, the love is there, but how long can love alone carry a relationship when there are so many unresolved problems?
Whenever Blaire needed him most, it always felt like family drama took precedence. Honestly, Blaire is a saint for taking him back after everything he put her through. He keeps saying he puts her first, but his actions have often shown otherwise. I just hope Rush steps up and truly starts treating her the way she deserves. Because if he can’t keep his promises now, what does that say about their future?
And don’t even get me started on young Rush’s story—I cried an entire river reading that part. It was so raw and painful, it genuinely hurt to get through it.
Overall, this is so good! The emotion, the love—everything just hits perfectly. It’s honestly beautiful.
Well... except for the part where Nan throws her tantrum. (shrugs) That part kind of pulled me out of it.
