Synopsis

Every Princess needs a Prince Charming…

When a masked girl throws herself at Shawn Finch at a costume party, the hotshot football player assumes she’s just another girl trying to get his attention. Except she’s not just any girl. She’s his Cinderella, the nameless girl in the pale blue dress who got away.

Desperate to find her, Finch searches for his mystery girl with no luck. So, it must be fate when Finch’s grade point average drops and the school assigns him a tutor not knowing they just handed over his Cinderella.

After having a crush on Finch since the first time she spotted him on campus, one kiss was all she’d ever wanted. But Finch has other plans once he discovers the truth about his tutor.

Quote(s)

1.    She’s in her sixties or seventies, it’s hard to tell with the dim light that washes over the dark property.

2.    Sometimes, you need a break from life. Change can be good when it’s the right kind.

3.    There’s nothing strange about you, my dear. If you miss the party, you won’t get the chance to meet this boy, and I cannot allow you to do that. I met my Charles at a party. We were inseparable for over fifty years. I want you to have the same opportunity I had. Meeting him changed my life, and I suspect that this boy could change yours, too.

4.    For such a young girl, you know a thing or two about loss, so I don’t need to tell you that the pain is always there and that some days are better than others.

5.    “Fate,” she whispers. “Sometimes the stars align just right and everything works out for the best. I believe in fate. That’s what led me to Mr. F. I also believer that’s what led me to you, Ella. You needed someone. I was there at the right time.”

6.    “I would have done the same thing for Silvia. Sometimes, you just know.”

“My mom always says that,” I say, not feeling as dumb as I did around Mark and Luca.

When he talks, I can open up to Hunter.

7.    If you know you need to study, then I don’t see why it would kill you to take an hour each day so you can pass. The only way tutoring can work for you is if you give it a chance. I can sit here all day long and tell you what you need to know, but if you don’t put in the effort, our sessions are pointless.

8.    The more I discount him, the more he does something that I least expect, luring me further into his trap.

9.    We are somehow related.

10. They were semi-legal methods, of course, but it was better than begging for scraps to pay the bills.

11. My company, the house, the cars, and everything I own, I leave to you. If you followed in my footsteps, then you will know what to do with my will.

Love always,

Dad

Reading Experience

This story is the modern story of Cinderella. All of it except it happens during college time. It’s the types of story that is clichรฉ where the football player meet the nerd. I know the storyline is kind of old, I still enjoy every bit of it. At first, I was so confused as to why Daddy didn’t leave anything to his biological daughter since, from what Ella has mentioned, they are close to each other. Will he rather leave all inheritance to his wife and neglect his own child? Well, didn’t say I won’t suspect there will be a twist at the end. Anyhow, this storyline sounds like a movie that I have seen before. Anyway, I wished there were more of it than just stopped at they held their wedding before Shawn’s football season.
