Synopsis
When electrical contractor, Claire
English bursts into the construction trailer intent on fixing a messed up
lightning plan, she doesn’t expect to run head on into developer, Luke
Masters. Comfortable competing in a male-dominated field, Claire doesn’t intimidate
easily, but the raw power and coiled energy of the sexy billionaire has her
breath catching in her throat and her body arcing with desire. Now that he’s seen her, Luke can’t get
the fiery auburn-haired contractor out of his mind. Sparks fly every time
they’re together, and it’s becoming a distraction. One neither of them can
afford. The only way for Luke to get his focus back is to get Claire into his
bed – to feed the passion until he burns her out if his system. Luke’s used to getting what he wants
and what he wants is Claire. But will he realize in time that she’s also what
he needs? Wired: For the Billionaire’s Pleasure
is a steamy contemporary romance with a hot alpha billionaire hero and a
strong, sexy heroine he can’t keep his hands off of. It is full of adult
language and plenty of hot sex. |

Quote(s)
1.
The craftsman in her wouldn’t let her
do a job she knew wasn’t right. She wasn’t about to take money for someone
else’s short sightedness or worse put her family name on a job with bad
lighting because the client was too cheap to redo it. 2.
He reminded her of her daddy. Gruff and
no nonsense, definitely not one to put up with any bullshit, but he treated
her like one of the guys and never made her feel like she couldn’t do
something because she was a woman. She already knew she and her crew were as
good as any electrical contractor out there, but it was nice not to have to
prove it all the time. 3.
Claire was proving to be a puzzle he
didn’t think he had a chance of solving. So he’d do what had always served
him in his business. He’d concentrate on the path right in front of him until
the rest of the road became clear. 4.
The idea of asking him for anything now
made her feel cheap. Sex complicated everything, and sex like what they had
together was too much to contemplate. 5.
He hated to apologize. It was much
easier not to do anything to be sorry for in the first place. 6.
She couldn’t let herself think about
it. It was too late to put the genie back in the bottle. Her heart hadn’t
listened to her mind’s better judgment, but that didn’t mean she needed to
indulge herself in dreams of happily ever after. Dreams that weren’t going to
come true, no matter how much she wanted them to. 7.
Their weekend together had cemented her
feelings for him. She was in love with a man she didn’t think would ever be
able to love her back. He’d been clear with her. He’d told her he wasn’t
interested in a relationship. He hadn’t said anything to make her believe
he’d changed his mind. 8.
She wanted to, God, she wanted to let
him take her back to his place and sink into that big tub letting it wash
away the dirty feeling that hadn’t left since she saw the ugly words scrawled
across her walls. But she couldn’t, she couldn’t leave the house sitting
empty and she couldn’t let herself fall into playing house with Luke. Her
heart wouldn’t understand the difference. 9.
No one accomplished anything by holding
on to a broken past. 10.
“I can’t do this anymore,” she said
when she was sure her voice wouldn’t break. “I can’t feel like my life is so
small to you. Like what’s so important to me is just some little project you
snap your fingers and fix.” |
