Quote(s)
1.
Well, you won’t have a chance. You’ve
only been coming to classes for three weeks and Madame Za-Za has pretty much
said that I’m going to be the Bluebird. Everyone knows I’m the best dancer in
the class. 2.
Sukie might think she didn’t have a
chance but no one would know until the actual auditions. 3.
As she shut her eyes she pictured
herself dancing with the bluebirds.she hadn’t worried about her arms and her
legs, she’d just listened to the music and danced. Was that what Madame Za-Za
had meant earlier when she said it was important not to try too hard? |

Thoughts
(1) Maybe you are, Sukie. But that does not
mean Delphie cannot practice and try her best to win for the position. —————— ΰΈ

——————— (2) You’re right to think like that, Delphie! |
Conclusion
First at all, I do love the storyline. I do. BUT why you incorporate things like cheating, stealing and lying in the story? And you make it look okay. It doesn’t sit well with me since this is a CHILDREN’S book. You are supposed to be mindful about this kind of things. Besides, you HAVE to work hard to get
what you want in life. It is NOT okay to say you’re trying too hard. You can
say something like you have to try your best and then at the same time, you
have to find ways to relax or something. Again, you’re writing a children’s book.
You’re trying to instill something good in them. Therefore, do I recommend this book to an
adult? Yes. However, do I recommend this book to a child?
Definitely not. |
